Preschool II Group (ages 3 - 6)                                                                                                            Mondays and Wednesday 9:00-11:00

This group is designed to look like a typical preschool with additional supports to help children with language and social difficulties succeed within all of their classroom skills, play skills, social communication skills, social skills and more. A typical group looks like this: get ready/sensory time, circle time, centers, gym time, bathroom, snack, music, and much more.  The goal is to help increase your child’s classroom skills, language skills (expressive and receptive), speech skills, social skills and play skills within a natural developmental setting.  The difference between this group versus Preschool I will be that this group will have higher receptive skills, expressive skills and play skills.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 Speech Pathologist or Speech Pathology Assistant to 3 to 4 kids.  (27 sessions)

 

Preschool III Group (ages 4 – 6)                                                                                                          Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 – 11:00

This group is designed to look like a typical preschool with additional supports to help children with language and social difficulties succeed within all of their classroom skills, play skills, social communication skills, social skills and more. A typical group looks like this: get ready/sensory time, circle time, centers, gym time, bathroom, snack, music, and much more.  The goal is to help increase your child’s classroom skills, language skills (expressive and receptive), speech skills, social skills and play skills within a natural developmental setting.  The difference between this group versus Preschool II will be that this group will have higher receptive skills, expressive skills and play skills.  This group is designed for kids entering Pre-K or Kindergarten next year. This group has a classroom ratio of 1 Speech Pathologist or Speech Pathology Assistant to 3 to 4 kids.  (28 sessions)

 

Friendship Camp                                                                                                                                  Monday and Wednesday 4:00 – 5:30

This group is designed for children with high receptive and expressive language skills that will be entering Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade.  This group will focus on increasing their joint attention skills as well as their emerging Theory of Mind skills through friendship activities including: sensory play times, group conversation times, game time and much more.  Our primary goal is to increase their overall Theory of Mind skills (understanding others’ thoughts/feelings), self-awareness, play skills, conversational skills and much more through the use of the SCERTS© Model, the Social Detective© curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner and the Superflex© curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 Speech Pathologist or Speech Pathology Assistant to 4 kids. (27 sessions)

 

Social Skills Groups           

These groups focus on building and sustaining relationships by increasing socialization skills as well as language within a variety of child-centered socialization activities.  Within these groups we also focus on increasing our Theory of Mind skills through a variety of approaches including: SCERTS©, concepts taken from Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Detective© and Superflex© and more.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 Speech Pathology Assistant or Speech Pathologist to 6 kids.

 

Group 1 (Ages 5 – 8): Monday 5:30-6:30 (13 sessions)

Group 2 (Ages 7 – 10) Monday 5:30-6:30 (13 sessions)

Group 3 (Ages 10 – 12): Tuesday 5:00 – 6:00 (14 sessions)

Group 4 (Ages 11– 14): Wednesday 5:00 - 6:00 (14 sessions)

Group 5 (Ages 10 - 13): Thursday 5:00 - 6:00 (14 sessions)

 

All groups focus on the individualized social communication as well as socialization needs of each child. There is a $50 registration fee for each group (plus the tuition payment).  Current KidSpeak, LLC patient registration is June 12 – June 16, 2017.  Starting Monday, June 19, 2017, registration is open to new patients.  ALL registrations are due by Friday, August 11, 2017.  There will be no late registrations.

 If your child is not a current client of KidSpeak, LLC, your child must participate within a Speech and Language Evaluation.  In addition, they may be required to participate within a few individual sessions before starting group.

 All children that participate within the above groups must participate within at least one weekly individual speech and language session at an additional cost.
