Preschool II Group (ages 2 - 4)                                                                        Monday and Wednesday 9:00 - 11:00

This group is designed for children with difficulties in play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills and more.  These children are already familiar with a classroom setting; however, still may need help with the classroom rules (i.e., sitting, walking in a line, etc.).  These children use and understand a higher level of language than the Preschool I Group.  This group is focused on increasing language (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).   This group’s schedule may include: gym time, circle time, play times, snack time, music time and more.  The Preschool II Group is designed to help prepare your child for a typical structured preschool or pre-k program.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 2 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children.  (27 sessions)

 

Pre-K Group (ages 4 – 6)                                                                                 Monday and Wednesday 9:00-11:00

This group is designed for children with difficulties in play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more.  These children are already familiar with a classroom setting and require minimal no help with these skills. These children use and understand a higher level of language than the Preschool III Group.  This group will be more conversational when compared to the Preschool III Group within their conversation skills as a whole as well as within their perspective taking skills within conversations.   This group is focused on increasing language skills (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, Theory of Mind skills, perspective taking skills, academic skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).  This group’s schedule may include: gym time, circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group will also have an emphasis on pre-literacy skills, pre-writing skills, and early math concepts to help prepare the children for pre-k or kindergarten.  Within this group The Pre-K Group is designed to help prepare your child for a typical structured pre-k or kindergarten program.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 4 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children.  (27 sessions)

This group is designed for children with difficulties in their play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more.  These children are not familiar or very minimally familiar with a classroom setting.  This group is focused on increasing language skills (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell).  This group’s schedule may include: gym time, circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 2 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children.  (28 sessions)

 

Preschool III Group (ages 4 – 6)                                                                      Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 – 11:00

Friendship Camp Beginners (ages 4 – 6)                                             Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 – 5:00

This group is designed for children with difficulties in play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more.  These children are already familiar with a classroom setting and require minimal to no help with these skills. These children use and understand a higher level of language than the Pre-K Group.  This group will be more conversational when compared to the Pre-K Group, as they have higher perspective taking skills and conversational skills as a whole.  The Friendship Camp Beginners Group is focused on increasing language skills (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, Theory of Mind skills, perspective taking skills, academic skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).   This group’s schedule may include: circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group is designed for our pre-k and our kindergarteners.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 4 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children.  (28 sessions)                                                 

 

Social Skills Group

These groups focus on building and sustaining relationships by increasing socialization skills (within structured play, unstructured play, conversation, and more) as well as language within a variety of child-centered socialization activities.  Within these groups we also focus on increasing our Theory of Mind skills through a variety of approaches including: SCERTS©, concepts taken from Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Detective©, Superflex©, and more.  The ratios change based on the group’s need which could range anywhere from 1 speech pathology assistant or speech pathologist to 2 kids TO 1 speech pathology assistant or speech pathologist to 6 kids. 

 

·         Group 1 & 2 (Ages 7 – 10): Monday 5:00 – 6:00 (13 sessions)

·         Group 3 & 4 (Ages 6 - 8): Wednesday 5:00 - 6:00 (13 sessions)

·         Group 5 (Ages 11 - 14): Wednesday 5:00 – 6:00 (13 sessions)

·         Group 6 (Ages 10 - 13): Thursday 5:00 - 6:00 (14 sessions)

 

All groups focus on the individualized social communication as well as socialization needs of each child. There is a $75 registration fee for each group (plus the tuition payment).  Current KidSpeak, LLC patient registration is June 11 – June 22, 2018.  Starting Monday, June 25, 2018, registration is open to new patients.  ALL registrations are due by Friday, August 10, 2018.  There will be no late registrations.

 

If your child is not a current client of KidSpeak, LLC, your child must participate within a Speech and Language Evaluation.  In addition, they may be required to participate within a few individual sessions before starting group.

 

All children that participate within the above groups must participate within at least one weekly individual speech and language session at an additional cost.
