Preschool II Group (ages 2 - 4)                                                             Monday and Wednesday 9:00 - 11:00

This group is designed for children with difficulties in their play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more. This group is focused on increasing language (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, Theory of Mind skills, perspective-taking skills, academic skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).  This group’s schedule may include: gym time, circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathologist assistant to 3 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children. (34 sessions)

Pre-K Group (ages 4 – 6)                                                                                  Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-11:30

This group is designed for children with difficulties in play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more.  These children are already familiar with a classroom setting and require minimal to no help with these skills. This group is focused on increasing language skills (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, Theory of Mind skills, perspective-taking skills, academic skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).  This group’s schedule may include: gym time, circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group will also have an emphasis on pre-literacy skills, pre-writing skills, and early math concepts to help prepare the children for pre-k or kindergarten. This group has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 3 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children. (33 sessions)

 Friendship Camp Beginners (ages 5 - 7)  Thursday 4:30 – 6:00

This group is designed for children with difficulties in play skills, language skills, sensory/emotional regulation skills, social skills, and more.  These children are already familiar with a classroom setting and require minimal to no help with these skills. The Friendship Camp Beginners group is focused on increasing language skills (expressive and receptive), play skills, social communication skills, emotional regulation skills, Theory of Mind skills, perspective-taking skills, academic skills, and more with both peers and adults through the use of the SCERTS® Model (by Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent, and Rydell) and elements of Social Thinking® (by Michelle Garcia Winner).  This group’s schedule may include: circle time, play times, snack time, music time, and more.  This group is designed for our pre-k and kindergarteners and has a classroom ratio of 1 speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant to 4 kids.  Spaces limited to 6 children.  (16 sessions)

Social Skills Group

These groups focus on building and sustaining relationships by increasing socialization skills (within structured play, unstructured play, conversation, and more) as well as language within a variety of child-centered socialization activities.  Within these groups we also focus on increasing our Theory of Mind skills through a variety of approaches including: SCERTS©, concepts taken from Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Detective©, Superflex©, and more.  These groups have a total of 9 kids in each group. The ratios change based on the group’s need which could range anywhere from 1 speech pathology assistant or speech pathologist to 3 kids TO 1 speech pathology assistant or speech pathologist to 9 kids. 

 

·         Monday Group (Ages 6-8): Monday 5:30-6:30 (17 sessions)

·         Monday Group (Ages 8 - 12): Monday 5:30 - 6:30 (17 sessions)

·         Wednesday Group (Ages 7 - 10): Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 (17 sessions)

·         Thursday Group (Ages 11 - 14): Thursday 5:00 - 6:00 (16 sessions)

All groups focus on the individualized social communication as well as socialization needs of each child. There is a $75 registration fee for each group (plus the tuition payment).  Current KidSpeak, LLC patient registration is September 16 - 27, 2019.  Starting Monday, September 30 2019, registration is open to new patients.  ALL registrations are due by Friday, December 13, 2019.  There will be no late registrations.

If your child is not a current client of KidSpeak, LLC, your child must participate within a Speech and Language Evaluation.  In addition, they may be required to participate within a few individual sessions before starting group.

All children that participate within the above groups must participate within at least one weekly individual speech and language session at an additional cost.

KidSpeak, LLC also offers a wide variety of other services including individual therapy at our office, individual therapy at your child’s school, shadow consultation services, therapist shadowing, facilitated play dates, home consultations, school consultations, and more.
