Melanie Bassett, M.ED., CCC-SLP

In 2011, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. For graduate school, I attended the University of Virginia and earned my Master of Education in Speech Communication Disorders in 2013. Before joining KidSpeak, LLC in the spring of 2017, I worked in a variety of settings, which included private practice, public, private, and charter schools, an early intervention speech and language preschool, and a skilled nursing facility. In those various settings, I have worked with children with articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language delays, fluency disorders, and auditory processing disorders. I have a passion for working with children and families to increase their overall communication and social development skills! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our golden doodle Annie, working out & running, and baking!

Kristen Jones, M.S., CCC-SLP

In 2010, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In 2011, I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with my Masters in Communication Disorders. Since graduation, I have had experience in different settings including private clinics and public schools. In these settings, I participated in collaborating with teachers, parents and specialists to best help my students and have taken that experience forward to KidSpeak. I use open lines of communication to learn about my clients, their families and their lives outside of our clinic and help them to work through any difficulties they may be having.

I enjoy working with children of all ages and tapping into their interests. From discussing Harry Potter to My Little Ponies, I work to engage children in therapy.  I have experience working with a variety of disorders including language, Autism, articulation, ADHD, fluency, pragmatics, and hearing. I am passionate about helping young people to better communicate and love working at KidSpeak with all the amazing clients and their families.

Michelle Joseph, M.S., CCC-SLP

I graduated from the University of Michigan with my B.S. in 2011 and from Northwestern University with my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014.  After graduating from Northwestern, I lived and worked in Chicago until the summer of 2017.  In Chicago I worked in a variety of settings, including schools, home health, hospital, and private practice.  I gained experience working with a wide variety of age groups and addressed many different areas of need including: cognitive delay/disorder, literacy, language, AAC, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Since relocating to Dallas, I have been working full-time in a small school district in south Dallas.  Within the school setting, I work primarily with elementary school students within "self-contained" classrooms.  I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my students, learning their unique abilities and strengths, and finding ways to increase their social communication skills.  I'm so happy to be a part of the KidSpeak team!  It has given me the opportunity to continue to expand and share my love of language with more children.

Allison b&w 2019.jpg

Allison Domlovil, MS, CCC-SLP

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a double Bachelor’s degree in Human Development/Childhood Disorders and Speech Language Pathology/Audiology.  For graduate school, I continued on with UTD and received my Masters in Communication Disorders.  While in undergrad and graduate school I was involved at KidSpeak, LLC as much as I could – as a volunteer, as a shadow, and as a teaching assistant.  After graduation I was a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.  I have a strong background providing therapy for children with autism as well as children with anxiety, depression, and ADHD.  I have provided individual and group therapy for children who have articulation, fluency, expressive/receptive language disorder, and pragmatic language disorders. I also have worked with children in a self-contained classroom, which focused on providing a language rich environment. I have a passion for working with children and connecting with them in a way to help them be better communicators in any environment they are in.   I spend my free time with my husband and sweet little girl, Millie.  I am excited to be back as a part of the KidSpeak team.

(Allison joined KidSpeak, LLC in her undergraduate years as a volunteer, shadow, and teaching assistant. She then completed a semester as a graduate student clinician. We are excited to have her return to KidSpeak, LLC as a SLP in the Summer of 2019.)

Andrea b&w 2019.jpg

Andrea De Los Santos, MS, CCC-SLP

I graduated from Baylor University in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  I then began my Masters program in Speech Language Pathology, which concluded in the fall of 2018. I have worked with ages 2 – 65, in a variety of settings including clinical, acute, and ICU care; school districts; and skilled nursing facilities. Though I love helping many people grow in speech and language skills, my passion lies with children of all ages! I completed my Clinical Fellowship in Houston, TX for Houston ISD. There I worked with children in individual, group, and collaborative therapy sessions. With caring for multiple schools came children and teens with an array of diagnoses such as: language delays, receptive and expressive language disorders, ADHD, emotional difficulties, intellectual difficulties, autism, articulation or phonological disorders, apraxia, fluency disorders, pragmatic difficulties, and more. I enjoyed collaborating with teachers, administration, the students, and families to help the child grow in their speech and language skills. I also have experience with individuals who have feeding disorders or difficulties and aphasia. Through my career I have been able to recognize the importance of utilizing language and social communication in everyday activities. Every child and family’s needs are unique. I am excited to continue helping children and teens grow through the SCERTS model that incorporates language and supports in all areas, not just during the therapy session. I love the teamwork that KidSpeak emphasizes by aiding not only the child, but the family, educators, and other caregivers in their environment as well. I believe this is crucial for success. Like they say, “It takes a village!” Outside of being a Speech-Language Pathologist, I love going to yoga, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing with my two puppies Millie and Penny.

(Andrea joined the KidSpeak, LLC team the Summer of 2019.)
