Melanie Bassett, M.ED, CCC-SLP
In 2011, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. For graduate school, I attended the University of Virginia and earned my Master of Education in Speech Communication Disorders in 2013. I have experience working in a variety of settings, which include public, private, and charter schools. Further experience is in a private practice, a skilled nursing facility, and an early intervention speech and language preschool. In those various settings, I have worked with children with articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language delays, fluency disorders, and auditory processing disorders. I am very excited to be a part of the team at KidSpeak, LLC and look forward to making a positive difference by helping children successfully communicate! Kasey Robuck, MS, CCC-SLP
I'm a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders. In 2012, I graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center(wreck ‘em!) with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. After graduating, I ended up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While I was there I worked as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. In Oklahoma I had the wonderful opportunity to co-treat with both occupational and physical therapists. I moved back to Texas in 2014. Since that time I have been employed with Plano ISD. I have pediatric experience in both a clinical and public school setting. I have worked with children with language impairments, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, and social/communication impairments. I am so excited to join the team at KidSpeak. I cannot wait to help the children at KidSpeak discover their abilities and reach new potentials. (Kasey joined the KidSpeak, LLC team the Summer of 2016.)
Megan "Liz" Balettie, MS, CCC-SLP
I am a graduate of the University of North Texas. I earned my Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2014. During my graduate level studies, I completed my practicum in various settings including the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center, a public school district and a pediatric outpatient hospital. I have treated children with various speech and language disorders in both individual and group therapy environments. I have always loved working with children and I am so excited to make a difference in kids’ lives at KidSpeak! (Liz joined the KidSpeak, LLC team the Summer of 2014. Ms. Liz will be on maternity leave throughout the Spring 2017 Semester and then will be re-joining us in the Summer of 2017.)
Alissa Silvestri, MS, CCC-SLP
I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Communication Science and Disorders in 2012. After graduation, I moved to Dallas and in 2014 I received my Master of Science in Communication Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas. I have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, and language disorders as well as various accompanying disabilities. I have provided both individual and group therapy in a variety of settings including an outpatient clinic, public school, and home health. I have always loved working with children and watching them grow. I am so excited to work with the kids at KidSpeak, LLC and help them discover their potential (Alissa joined the KidSpeak, LLC team the Summer of 2015, the Summer of 2016 and the Summer of 2017).
Diana Kelly, MS, CCC-SLP
I am a 2011 graduate of the University of Kansas, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I moved to Texas and have been working as an SLP with elementary aged children in McKinney ISD ever since. I have worked with children with autism spectrum disorders, hearing impairments, expressive/receptive language impairments, articulation and fluency disorders as well as, pragmatic language disorders. I have always had a passion for children and their communication needs, so I am thrilled to be joining the KidSpeak team! (Diana joined the KidSpeak, LLC team the Summer of 2017).
