Toddler – Preschool – Pre-K Groups
This fall KidSpeak, LLC will not be offering our normal Toddler, Preschool or Pre-K Groups. If you are interested in one of these groups, we recommend to start with 2- 4 hours of individual therapy or set up a consultation to talk to Ms. Amanda about other options with other clinics in the DFW area.
Friendship Camp Groups
This fall KidSpeak, LLC will not be offering our traditional afternoon and early evening Friendship Camp Groups. Instead we will be offering “Friendship Match Sessions.” Friendship Match Sessions are designed to provide children with opportunities to practice social communication, emotional regulation, perspective-taking, executive functioning, problem-solving, and friendship skills in a structured and supportive environment with one carefully selected peer.
A key component of our Friendship Match Sessions is finding each child their best friendship match. Children are paired based on a variety of factors, including age (typically within 1–2 years of one another), social communication abilities, play and social play skills, language and cognitive understanding, emotional regulation skills, interests, and overall compatibility. Our goal is to create a partnership that maximizes opportunities for meaningful interactions, social learning, and friendship development.
Each Friendship Match Session is scheduled 60 minutes in length and includes your child, one peer, and a speech-language pathologist (SLP), speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA), or graduate student speech-language clinician supervised by Amanda Rollins, MS, CCC-SLP. Children participating in Friendship Match Sessions must also be enrolled in and attend at least one individual therapy session per week at KidSpeak.
The cost for Friendship Match Sessions is $80 per session, along with a $125 semester registration fee. Once a Friendship Match Session has been established, the sessions will begin and go through the entire fall semester (December 11). Families are responsible for payment for all scheduled sessions. Because friendship matches are carefully selected and staffing is arranged specifically for each session, families will be charged for all scheduled dates regardless of attendance, including absences due to illness, vacation, school events, or other scheduling conflicts. Families will be charged each month at the end of the month.
Families will receive a “counsel” email or voice memo at the end of each month detailing what their child worked on that month. In addition, families may request a monthly daily note at the additional cost of $250.
If you are interested in learning more about Friendship Match Sessions or determining whether your child would be a good fit, please contact KidSpeak for additional information.
